Topgolf Durham Opens April 12
The Topgolf entertainment complex off Interstate 40 on the way from Durham to Cary is set to open on April 12.
It marks the third Topgolf location in North Carolina, with two in Charlotte. It’s the company’s 99th outdoor venue globally and 89th in the United States.
“Not only am I excited about getting to play at Topgolf, I’m excited for our city as Topgolf’s opening brings with it 500 good-paying jobs for our community,” said Durham Mayor Leonardo Williams in a news release. “We expect people to visit Topgolf from other areas of the state, which benefits our local economy and is a testament to Durham’s growing range of entertainment offerings.”
What is Topgolf?
It’s a modern golf experience for everyone from total rookies who’ve never held a golf club to pros just looking to perfect their swing in a relaxed, no-pressure environment.
The Durham site features:
- 102 outdoor climate-controlled hitting bays spanning three levels. Each bay includes lounge furniture or high-top tables.
- TopTracer technology, which tracks each golf ball’s flight path, distance, and other metrics.
- Half-price play on Tuesdays.
