Woodcroft Women’s Club brings fall yard and craft sale to Parkwood
Hunt for secondhand treasures, browse handmade crafts, and grab a treat at Saturday’s Woodcroft Women’s Club fall sale in Parkwood.

Bargain hunters and craft lovers can browse for secondhand finds and handmade goods Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Woodcroft Women’s Club’s Fall Yard & Craft Sale.
The sale runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine, in the Parkwood ballfield parking lot across from Parkwood United Methodist Church, 5123 Revere Road. It’s open to the public.
Several dozen sellers are expected, with offerings including modern and vintage jewelry, clothing, puzzles, home decor, mirrors, framed art, and lamps. Craft tables will feature new handmade items. Shoppers can also pick up baked goods at the club’s concession stand, with bake sale proceeds benefiting local charities.
The event is part of a community service tradition that stretches back four decades. The Woodcroft Women’s Club began in 1985 and formally organized in 1986, bringing women together for friendship, social activities, fundraising, and volunteer work. Its membership extends beyond Woodcroft to women from neighborhoods throughout the area.
The club’s service efforts include supporting Families Moving Forward and the Durham Crisis Response Center, collecting food and household supplies, and cleaning a section of the American Tobacco Trail. Members also gather for activities such as book discussions, games, and local outings.
