YouthWorks Program Open to Durham Applicants

Durham residents ages 14 to 24 can earn up to $880 this summer while building job skills with the city's 2025 Durham YouthWorks Program.
The program, managed by the city's Office of Economic and Workforce Development, provides essential skills and helps with workforce readiness. Some participants might also get industry certifications.
It's a hybrid program with virtual and in-person activities. Applicants must have a work-appropriate email address that they check regularly.
What else do you need to get ready?
- Prepare a resume that highlights your accomplishments.
- Gather your Social Security card, state-issued identification card, and birth certificate.
- Open a bank account to receive program funds. Don't have one? Once accepted into the YouthWorks program, you can get assistance opening a free account at the Latino Community Credit Union.
- Start thinking about your career.
