The Durham Public Schools Board of Education on Monday is set to discuss planning for the 2026-27 district budget during its February work session.
According to a presentation developed by Jeremy Teetor, the district's chief financial officer, current projections show a $7.21 million net reduction in state funding due to declining DPS enrollment across multiple allotments – including about 61 classroom teacher positions.
