Charter School Administrators Convicted in Obstruction Case

Nicole Ann Scotto, 37, and Melanie Butler Stack, 58, face supervised probation for 12 months after pleading guilty this week to misdemeanor obstruction of justice and failure to report child abuse at Research Triangle Charter Academy, where they worked as administrators.

If they stumble during probation, both face a maximum sentence of 45 days in jail.
