Durham Public Schools will close Monday, as feared, due to a reported call-out of school transportation mechanics.
Although athletics and other extracurricular activities are expected to continue as planned, the district’s afterschool care programs won’t be available.
District employees – including bus drivers – are asked to show up for the workday.
Breakfast and lunch are free for all DPS students this year. Menus are subject to change without notice. Schools release early on Feb. 14.
The building is expected to be 2,805 square feet, according to Durham Planning Department records.
