Duke Autism Center Holds Annual Art Contest

Duke Autism Center Holds Annual Art Contest

Neurodivergent individuals and their family members in Durham are invited to participate in the annual Holiday Greeting Art Gallery and Contest at the Duke Center for Autism and Brain Development.

All ages and talent levels are encouraged to draw, paint, color, or sketch whatever their imaginations can conjure.

Artwork will be featured in the online greeting art gallery, and one person’s creation will illustrate the center’s digital holiday greeting card.

To participate, follow these steps:

  • Create artwork on unlined white paper. The creation can be in color or black and white.
  • Title the work, so that it can be identified in the online art gallery or on the greeting card, if selected. Also, if you wish, include the artist’s age.
  • Send an image of the artwork to autismcentercomms@duke.edu. Preferred formats include JPG and PNG. High-quality, high-resolution scans or digital photos are best. Include only the art in the image. Exclude names or other identifying information.
  • Optionally, participants are welcome to include their first name and/or diagnosis, or self-identification as a family member of a neurodivergent person.

The submission deadline is Dec. 6. Check out the 2023 gallery.
