Durham school board to consider $474,405 consolidation study
The study could help shape future school boundaries and consolidation decisions. What should DPS consider as it weighs how to use its buildings?

Durham Public Schools Board of Education members on Thursday are expected to consider spending $474,405 on a districtwide study of school capacity, attendance boundaries, and potential consolidation.
The proposed contract with MGT Impact Solutions is among the items on the board’s work session agenda. Members also are scheduled to hear a school resource officer update, review improvement plans for schools designated low-performing, and consider an initiative to hear directly from students about safety and their school experiences.
The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Fuller Building boardroom, 511 Cleveland St.
