[Gallery] St. Barbara Greek Festival 2026

Greek cuisine, iconography tours, and lively dancers provided an entertaining weekend in South Durham.

On May 16 and 17, St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church on NC Highway 751 once again played host to the annual Greek Festival.

From the Attic Treasures shop to the Greek market, visitors got to enjoy Mediterranean culture and cuisine. The kitchen served up gyros, pastitsio, and spanikopita, while the pastry booth provided baklava, kok, and a variety of Greek cookies.

Other big draws at the event besides the food: tours of the iconography in the church sanctuary, and performances by dancers from St. Barbara as well as Holy Trinity in Raleigh.
