What Does South Durham Cook?
Share the recipe that tastes like home for the SoDu We Enjoy Food community cookbook.

Some recipes are carefully written on cards. Others are passed down through conversation, adjusted by instinct, or invented because someone had to get dinner on the table.
Southpoint Access is collecting those recipes for SoDu We Enjoy Food, a living community cookbook featuring the dishes, traditions, and stories found in kitchens across South Durham and the surrounding community.
We’re looking for:
- Weeknight dinners
- Family recipes
- Potluck favorites
- Game-day snacks
- Holiday and celebration dishes
- Desserts and baked goods
- Budget-friendly meals
- Kid-friendly creations
- Recipes you invented yourself
Your recipe doesn’t have to be fancy. It just has to be something you make and want to share.
Recipes submitted by Sunday, Oct. 4, will be considered for our first published collection. Selected recipes may also appear as Southpoint Access Recipes of the Week, complete with contributor credit and the story behind the dish.
The submission form takes about five minutes. Photographs are welcome but not required.
