Southpoint Access counted 100 property and financial incident reports in its coverage area from Sept. 18-24, up from 85 the week before. The reports were tied to 73 address blocks.

Vehicle-related theft remained the largest category, with 44 reports. Shoplifting followed with 24.

This week's roundup also includes one arrest entry that met the same serious-charge screen used last week. Arrest entries are listed separately and are not included in the 100-report total.

At a glance

The increase should not be read as proof that crime rose. Reports can take several days to appear in the Police-to-Citizen portal, and they can be added or reclassified later.

The Sept. 24 data may still be filling in. The citywide export contained only five incident reports for that date, compared with 16 arrest-charge entries. All five incidents fell in the Southpoint Access coverage area.
