SoDu grocery average rises, but the increase isn’t widespread
Aldi kept the cheapest basket, Publix posted the biggest drop, and a $10.20 jump at Fresh Market pushed the average higher. What changed at your store?

SoDu Price Check - Week of Sept. 24, 2026
The average SoDu Shopping Basket got more expensive this week, but most stores in the comparison didn’t raise the cost of the full list.
The 17-item basket averaged $67.95 across nine stores in the Sept. 23 update, up about 95 cents, or 1.4%, from $67 on Sept. 16. Aldi remained the least expensive at $52.05.
The higher average came largely from Fresh Market, where the basket rose $10.20. Across the other eight stores, the average actually fell about 21 cents.
Three stores recorded higher totals, three declined, and three were unchanged. None changed places in the rankings.
