Where can you stretch your grocery dollars the furthest in South Durham this week? We priced 17 everyday items - from eggs and milk to meat, pasta, and toilet paper - at nine major grocery stores serving the SoDu area.

This week’s SoDu Shopping Basket shows grocery prices bounced back up slightly this week, with the average basket rising to $66.72, up 55 cents from last week’s $66.17. Aldi ($51.43) remains the lowest full-basket total, followed by Walmart ($53.68) and Wegmans ($55.83). Fresh Market ($102.53) is still the most expensive, though its total came down from last week.
