Where can you stretch your grocery dollars the furthest in South Durham this week? We priced 17 everyday items - from eggs and milk to meat, pasta, and toilet paper - at nine major grocery stores serving the SoDu area.
This week’s SoDu Shopping Basket shows grocery prices are steady this week, with the average basket price at $66.25. Aldi ($51.38) continues to be the most affordable, followed by Walmart ($54.44) and Food Lion ($54.21). Fresh Market ($97.79) remains the priciest store overall.
