Where can you stretch your grocery dollars the furthest in South Durham this week? We priced 17 everyday items - from eggs and milk to meat, pasta, and toilet paper - at nine major grocery stores serving the SoDu area.

This week’s SoDu Shopping Basket shows grocery prices eased again this week, with the average falling to $66.37, down from $66.66 last week.

Aldi ($50.38) is the clear low-cost winner, with Food Lion ($52.84) and Walmart ($54.34) close behind. Fresh Market ($103.63) remains the most expensive overall.
