Where can you stretch your grocery dollars the furthest in South Durham this week? We priced 17 everyday items - from eggs and milk to meat, pasta, and toilet paper - at nine major grocery stores serving the SoDu area.

This week’s SoDu Shopping Basket shows grocery prices eased slightly this week, with the average basket falling to $66.45, down 27 cents from last week’s $66.72. Aldi ($51.33) remains the lowest full-basket total, followed by Walmart ($53.41) and Wegmans ($55.83). Fresh Market ($101.73) is still the most expensive overall, though its total continues to edge down.
