Opa! Durham Greek Festival Returns May 3–4

Get ready to experience the flavors, music, and joy of Greece right here in South Durham. The 2025 Durham Greek Festival is back at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church (May 3–4) with authentic food, live dancing, artisan shopping, and guided tours of the landmark domed church. Admission is free, and the event runs rain or shine just off NC-751 near Southpoint.

  • A Celebration of Earth Day for Kids. Toddlers through elementary school. 4 to 4:45 p.m. Enjoy stories, music, crafts, and refreshments. Children’s programming room at the Main Library at 300 N. Roxboro St. (Durham County Library)
  • Graphic Book Club. High school through adults. Virtual event. 6 to 8 p.m. Fans of comic books and graphic novels can join via Zoom to discuss and share ideas and impressions. The topic this month: Female creators. (Durham County Library)
