[SoDu Sunrise Showcase] Rolling Ahead with Durham School Transportation

The Durham Public Schools Board of Education meets today for its work session and besides getting an update on the financial situation, we'll get to hear what's up with school transportation since rotational bus coverage ended and the family responsibility zones kicked into gear.

According to the presentation, all school bus routes were covered on the first day of FRZ. The district has 13 new bus drivers. And we should hear more about how school staff and families are responding to life with the responsibility zones.

The Makery Makes Its Way to Boxyard RTP

The Makery, developed by Kidzu Children's Museum and geared toward elementary-aged children, tweens, and teens, will allow participants to work with simple materials or 3D printers and robotics to immerse themselves in maker education.
