Voting Sticker Contest Open for Durham Children

Voting Sticker Contest Open for Durham Children

When children accompany their parents or guardians to the polls this November, they’ll get a free sticker. Will your kid be the one to decide what that sticker looks like?

The Durham County Board of Elections, partnering with Kids Voting Durham, has kicked off a “Future Voter” sticker contest for students in grades K-12. First place wins a custom plaque and a cash prize. Second and third place receive a cash prize.

Contest Guidelines:

  • Must be enrolled in a K-12 academic institution and be current residents of Durham County (including home school students).
  • One sticker design submission per contest.
  • Format: 2-inch circle.
  • Must include the words “Future Voter.”
  • Don’t use copyrighted images or designs unless permitted by purchase or written approval of the owner of the image/design.
  • Can’t support or oppose a specific candidate, referendum, or other ballot item.
  • No derogatory or offensive content.
  • Incorporate Durham County symbols, landmarks, voting-centric themes, and/or reflect your perspective of Durham County’s values.
