52 Neighbors Strong. Can We Reach $2,500?
Help Southpoint Access reach 50 supporters on the way to 100 neighbors and $5,000 by Sept. 22!

Hey, neighbors! We’ve crossed the halfway mark.
So far, 52 neighbors like you have contributed $1,984.82 to the 100 Neighbors for Local News campaign.
That puts us:
- At 52% of our 100-neighbor goal
- At 39.7% of our $5,000 fundraising goal
- Just $515.18 away from our next milestone of $2,500
The campaign continues through Sept. 22, my birthday. Money raised will help Southpoint Access pay freelance reporters, cover public records and research costs, and produce more original journalism about South Durham.
We’ve passed halfway in neighbors. Now, let’s reach halfway in dollars.
If Southpoint Access helps you keep up with local schools, development, businesses, public safety, events, and the people who make this community special, please consider contributing.
Gifts of every size matter, and larger contributions help us close the funding gap. (Also, subscriptions and sponsorships count toward this goal!)
A gift of $10, $25, $50, or whatever works for you will move us closer.
Already contributed? Thank you. Sharing the campaign with another South Durham neighbor helps, too.
Best,
Wes Platt
