Durham Expands Home Repair Assistance Program
City government has committed more than $2.19 million to deliver repairs, improve housing stability, and strengthen neighborhoods.

Low-income homeowners now have more than $2.19 million in funding available to assist with repairs and prevent displacement.
The city's Housing and Neighborhood Services department is teaming with Habitat for Humanity and Preserving home to preserve older houses, fix code violations, and make minor repairs for at-risk residents.
“Every resident deserves the opportunity to live in a safe, stable home and remain connected to the neighborhoods they love,” said Sarah Viñas, director of Housing and Neighborhood Services, in a news release. “These investments are about more than repairing houses - they are about preserving community, protecting long-time residents from displacement, and ensuring that Durham remains a place where people of all incomes can thrive."
