Huck’s Heavenly Hangout | Pet Obituaries | Southpoint Access
Southpoint Access is launching a pet-obituary feature honoring beloved companions, named for Huckleberry and open to families across Durham and beyond.

Vehicle break-ins, vehicle thefts, and shoplifting made up most of the 98 police reports identified in South Durham and nearby Research Triangle Park from Aug. 20 through Aug. 26.

The Durham Police Department's Police-to-Citizen event data included 34 thefts from vehicles, 11 motor vehicle thefts, 24 shoplifting reports, 15 vandalism reports, five burglaries, and nine other theft or fraud reports in the South Durham working set.

The public data provides offense categories, dates, times, and block-level locations. It generally does not include a narrative explaining what happened, what was taken, whether incidents at the same location were connected, or whether police identified a suspect.
