10:30 a.m.: Man Arrested in American Tobacco Trail Stabbing [WRAL]

9:52 a.m.: City of Durham Development Neighborhood Meetings Planned

  • May 21: Oak Grove Landing - Deals with about 11 acres on Sherron Road, currently zoned rural residential and residential suburban. Applicant wants this changed to planned development residential to allow a single-family residential development. 6 to 7 p.m. via Zoom.
  • May 26: 5217, 5307, 5351, & 5419 Farrington Road - Proposal is for more than 15 acres that would annexed and rezoned to allow development of a multi-family residential project with about 350 units. 6 to 7 p.m. via Zoom.
  • June 9: 3638 Old Chapel Hill Rd. and 3641 Shannon Rd. - In 2023, this project was approved for 43 townhouse units, 17 apartment units, and 3,600 square feet of commercial space. Now, developers want to convert the planned apartment units to townhouses due to market concerns. 5 to 6 p.m. via Zoom.
